DogBoat - 18' Peace Canoe

SOLD

The DogBoat is a 18' Peace Canoe designed by CLC-Chesapeake Light Craft and built by me (Steve Brookman) from plans in the Getting Started in Boats section of the Wooden Boat Magazine. The boat was built to design with the exception on moving the chine log inside and then covering the exterior with xynole-polyester cloth and 3 coats of West System Epoxy. This made it one battleship of a canoe, or it could more likely be called a pirogue, or a bateau. It is not really a car topper, unless you have a big car and some muscle to hoist it, as she weighs in at well over 100#. But she is stable as all get out and can take a beating. She would serve well as camp or family boat. While our dogs really love being on her, I'm running out of storage space having built another boat and have plans for the next so I have to sell to her to make room for the next project.

DogBoat was launched in 2008 but has only been in water a few times since.
